About De-Hydrated and Raw & Living Cuisine

de∙hydrated brings the joy of modern living cuisine to Southeast Asia and beyond by educating the public in the preparation of raw food in a contemporary style and atmosphere. We believe that enjoying fresh, delicious, living food – free from artificial additives, gluten, and animal products – is an innovative means of promoting and supporting both maximum personal health and environmental sustainability.

Based in Thailand, we currently offer raw culinary classes monthly in Central Bangkok and bi-yearly in Houston, USA, instructing in the preparation of dishes as simple as salads and as complex as artfully garnished gâteaux made with fermented nut cheese and flower essences. Whether you prefer sweet or savory, we have a class to suit the flavor profiles you most desire. We aim to produce modern dishes with a high-end look and feel, with optimal taste that results from the use of only the finest quality ingredients available at our disposal. We also host raw food instructional retreats in exotic and glamorous locales around the world, and are available to produce workshops or seminars upon request.

About raw & living cuisine

Raw cuisine describes the use of plant-based nutrition sources including fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds to create innovative dishes which retain and most often far exceed cooked varieties in taste, texture, appearance and most of all, nutritional value.  Raw and living food is typically minimally processed, free from ingredients derived from animal products, and not heated to a temperature of over 46°C (115°F) during production. There are numerous reasons that someone might want to introduce raw foods into their daily diet, including issues of health and well-being, a love and compassion for animals, the philosophy of ahimsa (non-harming), concern over environmental and pharmaceutical contaminants in our food supplies, fasting for spiritual or religious purposes, and reducing one’s overall environmental footprint.

About Jennifer & Kevin

Jennifer & Kevinde∙hydrated is owned by Kevin and Jennifer Robertson, who hail from Scotland and America, respectively. Kevin and Jennifer have both had a long-standing interest in healthy and organic cuisine, but a year spent living in India peaked their interest in the raw and living foods movement. After completing a juice fasting retreat in Goa, the pair decided to pursue raw food as a prominent feature of their daily lifestyle. Jennifer was trained in the Fundamentals of Raw Cuisine at Chef Matthew Kenney’s 105degrees Academy in Oklahoma City, USA, the world’s first classically-structured raw and living foods education center. She has also been a recipe tester for several of eco-stylist and raw food author Ani Phyo’s most recent publications. In addition to her passion for raw food, Jennifer has interests in environmental sustainability, holds both Master’s and PhD degrees in Marine and Fisheries Science, and is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Kasetsart University and an Honorary Researcher at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
